Jennifer Lynn Collier and Stanford Blake Terry are wed

We are pleased to announce that, on Saturday, 12 March 2011, Jennifer Lynn Collier and Stanford Blake Terry were wed. The ceremony took place at 11 o’clock in the morning at the Savannah Yacht Club in Savannah, GA.

This is the second exciting event in Jennifer Lynn’s life recently. In May 2010, she received her Juris Doctor law degree from the University of Mississippi. (Read that article.) Jennifer Lynn is the daughter of Teresa Fay (“Terri”) Murphy O’Neal and granddaughter of John Gribbin and May Nora Johnson Murphy (Uncle John and Aunt Katie).

MIchael Ryan Byrnside weds Debra Elizabeth McCallum

We are pleased to announce that on 31 July 2010, MIchael Ryan Byrnside and Debra Elizabeth McCallum were married at Bluff Park United Methodist Church in Hoover, AL. Michael is the son of Robert Michael “Bobby” and Patricia Kay “Pat” Murphy McCormick and grandson of John Gribbin and May Nora Johnson Murphy (Uncle Johnny and Aunt Katie). The couple flew to the Dominican Republic for their honeymoon following the ceremony and reception. The couple will reside in Montgomery, AL. Shannon Carmichael Murphy pinned as Registered Nurse

We are please to announce that on 20 May 2010, Shannon Carmichael Murphy was pinned as a Registered Nurse from the Palomar College School of Nursing in San Marcos, CA. The pinning ceremony took place at the Howard Brubeck Theatre in San Marcos. Shannon is the daughter of Thomas Alan Murphy and granddaughter of John Gribbon and May Nora Johnson Murphy (Uncle Johnny and Aunt Katie).

Thank you, Aunt Katie, to you and all of your family for a wonderful Johnson Family Reunion! Hunter Hills was a great place to hold the reunion - cool, spacious, well located, and fun for the children. The Church had a wonderful new playground and the Murphy’s also provided a huge slip and slide and plenty of fun crafts. All family members enjoyed the display of family photos. They provided a family history lesson and a walk down memory lane. Oh, and the food, food, food... ALWAYS fantabulous!!

This year, the Johnson Family Reunion (ON the Fourth of July this Saturday - how great is that!) is hosted by Aunt Katie Murphy and family. It’s almost here!

Aunt Katie’s daughter Jo Carol Tatum is very busy right now with food planning for the reunion. She sends this message...

We are ordering Boston Butts for $20 each that will be smoked, chopped and delivered the morning of the reunion.  If anyone is interested I could let Kenny know.  He has an order for 5 from our immediate family, but would be glad to do more if anyone would like to order one.Thanks,  Jo Carol Tatum,Food Service Director

We are saddened to report that Wylie Charles "Charlie" Murphy passed away in the afternoon of Saturday, 5 July 2008, at the Prattville Baptist Hospital. Wylie Charles' first cousin Rev. Walter Albritton, Jr. will officate. Born 12 April 1958, Charlie was 50 years old.
